Britain Denies Russia Firing Warning Shots
The British have stated that there were no warning shots, and their ship was nowhere near Russian territory in the Black Sea near Crimea. Britain’s Ministry of Defense spoke publicly after Russian reported what happened in the Black Sea.
The department claimed, “No warning shots have been fired at HMS Defender. The Royal Navy ship is conducting innocent passage through Ukrainian territorial waters in accordance with international law.”
Britain does not deny the shots. However, they believe it was part of a Russian training exercise, and they warned nearby ships.
