The Republican nominees – David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler – are favored to win the runoffs, but the odds are tightening as we get closer to the vote. A recent poll published by Business Insider even suggests that things may be swinging in the direction of Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, the Democratic nominees. One of the biggest movers this week has been Donald Trump Sr. We know that he still has a huge following, plus his push to increase stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000 will have helped his cause. Trump saw his odds to win the 2024 election go from +1250 to +800, a not insignificant shift.
There were a couple of other potential nominees, from the major political races, who made big moves this week on the betting board. On the Republican side, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis went from +7500 to +3500. As far as the Democrats go, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went from +7500 to +2500. She also saw her odds shorten in the Democratic Nominee odds, moving from +2500 to +1000.
