JOE BIDEN’S PLANS FOR HIS FIRST 100 DAYS IN OFFICE

Joe Biden’s Plans: Every politician runs on a platform that they hope to put into place when they are sworn in as President of the United States. While it is impossible to get every bill passed in 4 or 8 years; new President’s generally set the tone for what is to come in the first 100 days that they hold office. Joe Biden will be inaugurated today; and he has promised to get to work the moment the inauguration ceremony is over.

Joe Biden’s plans are already outlined what he plans to do in his first day in office; as well as revealing what he hopes to accomplish in the 99 days that follow. With the impeachment trial of Donald Trump set to begin soon; getting new bills passed quickly might not be that easy; although Biden may use executive orders to push some things through.

Plans for Day One

Throughout his campaign, Biden made it clear that tackling the coronavirus would be at the top of his to-do list. Speeding up the vaccine process is job one; but Biden will almost certainly repair the fractured relationship with the World Health Organization on his first day in office. Biden will also make political news by signing an executive order to put together a clean energy plan; while also protecting a large portion of American land and water.

Other big issues that the new President is expected to address on day one are to repeal the transgender military ban ; and to put new immigration policies in place that would allow undocumented immigrants to find a path towards citizenship.

The Remaining 99 Days

As mentioned earlier; some of the other issues that Joe Biden’s plans wants to tackle are going to be a little trickier to pass; even with a Democratic majority in the Senate. These include items like gun control bills; equality for transgender individuals; and repealing tax cuts put in place during the Trump presidency. In fact; much of what Biden hopes to do during his first 100 days is to flip policies but in place by Trump over the last 4 years. We are going to see the new President make a lot of political news over the next few months.
