Germany made a significant announcement on Monday involving an international child porn site, called Boystown. Prosecutors in Frankfurt stated that they busted a dark web porn site that featured child pornography. The dark web is commonplace for illegal sites, but the platform the Germans busted was one of the largest in the world.
There is hope that this discovery will lead more to dark web discoveries involving child pornography. However, prosecutors are celebrating their massive victory by finding the brains behind this disgraceful and illegal website. The site had more than 400,000 users. So, there will probably be many more accusations that come out of the ongoing case.
Joint Statement by the Prosecution and Police
In the middle of April, the Federal Criminal Police Office arrested three men who were suspected of orchestrating the website and a German member. The platform was named “Boystown”, and one of the administrators was detained in Paraguay when the arrests took place.
Since April, the police continued their investigation by searching databases and buildings that belonged to the three administrators. After an extensive investigation where seven buildings were stripped, the German prosecutors and police can confirm that the three men were responsible for Boystown.

Boystown has been active since 2019 on the dark web. It has become one of the largest pornographic websites featuring children in the world. High-profile pedophiles have used the site for the past three years to exchange and watch child pornography. Most of the discovered porn featured boys from all over the world.
The pornographic film that was taken from the website showed that users were international. Prosecutors stayed conservative with the evidence that they discussed and released. Although, they indicated that the content on the site was graphic and disturbing.
Julia Bussweiller, one of the prosecutors, headed the statement regarding the information that was exposed. She said:
“The platform had several forums and chats…the illegal pictures and videos were kept in the forums; in the chats, the members could communicate. There were several language channels to facilitate the communication.”
Bussweiller also said that there were “images of most severe sexual abuse of toddlers.” A German police task force investigated the website. However, the effort was worldwide because of the vast nature of the site. Authorities from the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, the United States, and Canada were consulted during the past month.
The Four Boystown Child Pornography Suspects
All three of the administrative suspects were men from Germany. One person was living in Paraguay when he was taken into custody. The connection of the three men is still unknown, but it’s believed that they met through child porn trafficking.
The three administrative suspects were ages 40, 49, and 58 years old. There was a fourth German suspect taken into custody for his activity on Boystown. He was 64 years old, and he was charged because he had uploaded over 3,500 posts to the site since 2019.
The online platform was shut down in April, but this case will continue for sentencing. Global security officials continue to work day and night to shut down these illegal acts on the dark web.
