US ELECTION MEDIA STRATEGY FOR LAST STRETCH

2020 US ELECTION MEDIA STRATEGY: DEMOCRATS & REPUBLICANS PREPARE FOR THE LAST STRETCH

US Election Media Strategy: The two major American political parties have only a couple of weeks to make their last stretch media strategy and influence as many undecided voters as possible, and both entities appear poised to spare no political expense in the attempt to diminish their opponent’s chances.

The rising numbers in COVID-19 infections throughout the United States, combined with Donald Trump’s relative indifference to the health crisis have been the pivot of the Democratic campaign to discredit his presidency, which, in spite of early predictions to the contrary, has managed to keep the American economy afloat amidst a global recession. Meanwhile, the Republicans have turned to a series of different strategies to attack Joe Biden and his team, including newly-emerging reports linking Biden’s second son (Hunter) with some shady international deals.

Which blow will hit the hardest? Can Trump overcome the mountain of criticism stemming from the alleged mishandling of the COVID-19 crisis? US Election Media Strategy: Pandemic Denial

Even though the numbers are showing a clear rise in cases of Covid-19 infections in the United States, President Trump continues to state that his government’s handling of the pandemic was the absolute “best” and that it was key in preventing thousands of additional deaths. “The light at the end of the tunnel is near. We are rounding the turn,” said Trump just yesterday to thousands of rally attendees at Fort Myers, Florida.

According to the polling figures provided by FiveThirtyEight and published by Newsweek online magazine, the majority of Americans (57.4%) disapprove of the President’s performance during the months-long crisis, while 54.2% hold a generally negative view of Trump. This has to contend with only 42.8% of the polled voters who continue to defend the President’s administration.

Hunter Biden’s Shenanigans

At the opposing camp, the finding of a collection of emails belonging to one of Biden’s foundations has stirred up the ambient quite a bit: According to some news reports shared by conservative US media, a series of emails obtained from an old laptop point out to a connection between Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, with some unlawful deals with foreign companies in both the Ukraine and China, made possible by the former US Vicepresident Joe Biden, resulting in alleged economic gains for himself and his family.

During the 2016 election, the late-in-campaign release of wikileaks reports concerning the now-famous Hillary Clinton emails’ ordeal succeeded in hurting the Democrat candidate, so, it seems that Trump’s campaign’s strategists are betting a similar plan to bring down Biden’s lead in the polls and the betting odds. Biden remains as the presumptive winner of the 2020 election according to betting markets (-200 general prices.)
