On Friday, Caitlyn Jenner announced that she was running for governor in California; and people were quick to poke fun at the former Olympian. Bill Maher’s actions have been headlining the comedic rants about Jenner trying to win office in California.

Bill Maher is the host of “Real Time;” and he had some fun on his show Friday night following Jenner’s announcement. Cancel culture wants to remove Maher from the internet; but some people enjoyed his comedic rant on Jenner’s attempt to replace Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.

The Caitlyn Jenner Monologue

Bill Maher said, “I know you think of her as a reality show star, but c’mon, people, change. She is trans, rested, and ready. She’s got a great slogan, ‘Take the sack out of Sacramento.’”

After blasting California’s recall election, Maher returned to Jenner. He continued his rant by stating, “I love that about her. Wasn’t always sure about the man-woman thing, but low capital gains taxes, born that way! And a lot of people, of course, are saying; ‘Isn’t it strange for a trans woman to be in a party that is passing anti-trans laws all over the country?’ And Caitlyn said, ‘Yeah, I get that. It’s just something about being in a party that doesn’t respect me that makes me feel like I’m home with the Kardashians.”

The comedic innuendos in the rant were very clever, thanks to Maher’s writing and production team.

Jenner’s Announcement

Caitlyn Jenner is running on a Republican ticket which is strange considering the conservative nature of the GOP. She has been a massive transgender rights activist since transitioning from a male to a female.

Jenner utilized her comprehensive platform on Twitter to announce that she was running for California Governor. Jenner; who was a former gold medal winner in the decathlon, has 3.5 million followers, which will be beneficial for her campaign.

President Trump successfully utilized Twitter before he was removed from the site; so expect Jenner to use similar tactics to grow her political following in the state.

In her announcement tweet, Jenner said:

“I’m in! California is worth fighting for.” The second part of this statement is her current Twitter bio; so she is all in on becoming the leader in the state. It’s not crazy to believe that Jenner could win.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the former California Governor. He was an athlete and a Hollywood star like Jenner, so this has recently occurred in the state.

Caitlyn Jenner has compiled a winning campaign team filled with prominent leaders in the Republican party. There are multiple advisors from Trump’s 2016 team that led the former president to victory in the greatest political upset in United States history.

Tony Fabrizio and Steven Cheung are two of the people on Jenner’s team that worked with Trump in 2016 and 2020. Cheung also helped Schwarzenegger win in the 2003 California gubernatorial election.

Jenner believes she can win, and multiple statements from her prove this fact. In her announcement release, Jenner wrote, “California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality, but for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by the one-party rule that places politics over progress.”
