Here are the updated odds to win the New York Mayoral election.

New York: Eric Adams Leading the Group

Eric Adams is the frontrunner to be the next mayor of New York. He is +130 to win the vote in less than two weeks. Adams is the first person of color to be elected the Borough President of Brooklyn, and he won this position in 2013.

He is a native of New York, and he has lived in the city for the past 20 years. Democrats in the city are looking for a hometown candidate, which is one reason why Adams is favored on Jazz Sports. Nevertheless, Andrew Yang is right behind the favorite.

New York: Andrew Yang, the Likely Winner

Even though Adams is the favorite, many people still believe that Andrew Yang will be the Democratic primary winner.

He is a 45-year-old entrepreneur and a former 2020 Democratic candidate. Lost to Joe Biden in 2020, but he was a favorite of numerous Democrats throughout the nation. Originally from Schenectady, and he has ties to the city through his businesses.

Yang is the founder and CEO of Venture for America. He burst onto the political scene in 2020 because of his “Freedom Dividend” proposal. This was a universal basic income program that would give $1,000 a month to every American adult.

Kathryn Garcia

Kathryn Garcia is the highest-ranking female in the race, according to Jazz Sports at +300. If she works hard over the next two weeks, Garcia could be a threat on election day.

She is the former Commissioner for the New York City Sanitation Department. She has always been a figure in the New York government. Before she led the Sanitation Department, Garcia served as Interim Chair and CEO of the New York City Housing Authority and helped with the state’s emergency food program during the COVID-19 emergency response.

Garcia grew up in Brooklyn, which has helped her with voters thus far.

The Back of the Pack

Maya Wiley, Ray McGuire, Scott Stringer, Shaun Donovan, and Curtis Silwa are all longshots to be the Democratic leader in the New York Mayoral election.

Wiley is the favorite out of this group at +1200. Wiley is a civil rights activist, lawyer, and political commentator. A bet on her to win would return a lot of money, but it’s unlikely that she will be a factor on election day.

McGuire is next on the list at +1400, followed by Stringer at +1600. Donovan is +2500, and the true long shot is Curtis Silwa. Silwa is +10000, so a $100 wager would pay out $10,100.

This is Jazz Sports way of saying that Silwa has no chance to win. This is a sucker bet that is not worth placing.
